What is more important, great images or the best title and keywords?
whats up everyone, this is the QA selling online podcast, and I am Quin Amorim.
Today I want to address a question of Image versus keywords.
What is more important, great images or the best title and keywords?
Before I get into the nitty-gritty and explain what is better and why I want to let you know that there is nothing or nobody stopping you from having both!
Getting the best keywords and the best pictures should be your default setting anyway!
But let’s get into picture vs Tittle
This may sound weird but if we consider the order of things, the title/ keywords will come first… But, the only reason is that without it, nobody will find you. And if nobody will find your product, you can have the best images in the world, and nobody will buy it!
Now, after people find you, that title, bullet points, and description go down to a 3rd or 4th position.
Yes, at this stage the number 1 most important thing is what will stand out visually!
The thumbnail, the average review rating, and price.
Now, you may be thinking, ” but my thumbnail is my image” yes and no. Your thumbnail is a smaller version of your image, but on the main search page, they will not show up the same as after the visitor opens the listing.
This is why I recommend having the product take more than 95% of the main image size because if there is barely any white space around your product, your thumbnail will jump, in size, when compared to competitors, and if they can see it better, it’s more likely to be opened.
Now that the customer clicks on your listing and suddenly the most important thing is the remaining 6 images. Amazon allows you to upload 9 but only show 7.
What the user does now, is exactly what you would do when shopping for a product, now you look at the pictures with the zoom, then you will read a couple bullet points and look to see if there are any terrible reviews (yes most people don’t even care about the good ones)
